“In an era where business is rapidly becoming impersonal, we feel that our team, our customers and our brand partners are simply part of an extended Art of Business family. It is so rewarding to get to connect with the incredible people within the salon industry and help to make an impact in their success.”
- President, Josh Hafetz
For 65 years and three generations, the Hafetz family has been helping beauty salon owners in the Mid-Atlantic fulfill their dreams of entrepreneurship. As a professional beauty product wholesaler, Art of Business is known for representing the industry’s leading beauty brands, while delivering business building solutions for salons and stylists. After selling its original namesake Raylon to L’Oreal in 2016, the Hafetz family immediately founded Art of Business. This exciting new chapter has allowed the family to continue its quest to be the champion of salons and boutique beauty brands.
On the surface, Art of Business is a product distribution company, but its true heritage is in educating and inspiring salon professionals. The company founded the Industry’s leading business magazine, Salon Today and hosts over 150 educational events each year, including the Annual Art of Business Salon Management Seminar in Philadelphia and the Institute of Salon Business. Working with Art of Business gives salons the ultimate tool to get one step closer to the “beauty hall of fame,” which is the company’s stated mission.
The family’s love for the beauty industry has also led to the creation of American Male, a high-end chain of men’s salons with three locations in the Greater Philadelphia Area. One of the proudest achievements of the Hafetz family is being recognized as a PA Best Places to Work for four consecutive years.
